What we collect, why we hold it, who we share it with, and how we handle project photography.

MB Architecture is an architectural practice based in Woking, Surrey. This notice explains what personal data we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.
What we collect
- If you enquire through this website: your name, email address, phone number, the project type and location you entered and your message.
- If you become a client: the contact details, site and property information, and correspondence needed to design your project and take it through planning and construction.
- Project records: drawings, surveys, planning correspondence, photographs of the site and works, and the certificates and approvals issued.
Why we hold it, and our lawful basis
- To answer your enquiry and prepare a fee proposal. Your consent and our legitimate interest in responding.
- To deliver your project. Performance of our contract with you.
- To meet legal and professional duties. Planning and building regulations, the Architects Registration Board’s requirements, professional indemnity insurance and tax law all require records to be kept.
Who we share it with
With the local planning authority and building control, because an application cannot be made without it; with the consultants, engineers and contractors working on your project; with the providers who run the systems we use, including the form service that delivers messages sent from this site; and with anyone we are legally required to tell. We do not sell your data.
Photography
We photograph completed projects for our portfolio. We ask permission before publishing images that identify a client or their property, and we will remove any image on request.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become projects are deleted on request. Project records are kept for the periods required by planning, building and professional indemnity requirements, and for as long as we may need them to answer a question about a building we designed.
Your rights
Under the UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, ask us to restrict or stop using it, and ask for it in a portable format. Email info@mb-architecture.uk or call 01483 363065. We will respond within one month.
Complaints
Please tell us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
